Membership Types & Descriptions

Full Member

As a Full Member, you receive all the member benefits available, so you can:

• participate in social, educational, and cultural programs planned and hosted by NSV Network members
• enjoy the stimulating discussion groups that focus on issues that matter to older adults
• request the full range of volunteer services such as: transportation to medical appointments and errands; friendly visitors; tech assistance; grocery shopping and errands; and light household chores and maintenance
• connect to NSV Network members via our website's Bulletin board and Members Connect
• quickly access member-referred vendors on our website

Supported Full Member

Individuals who participate in the Illinois Benefit Access Program are eligible for the Full Member level at $10 a month. (Proof of participation in this state program is required.) Supported Full Members have exactly the same rights and opportunities as other Full Members, including access to NSV Network volunteer services.

Social Member

Social membership is designed for individuals who primarily want to enjoy our social and educational programs.  As a Social Member, you can:

• participate in social, educational and cultural programs planned and hosted by village members
• connect to NSV Network members via our website's Bulletin Board and Members Connect
  quickly access member referred vendors on our website
• Social Members can also upgrade to the Full Member level at any time by paying the balance of the Full Member dues then in effect

Sustaining Member

Sustaining Members enjoy the benefit of Full Membership, while simultaneously providing extra financial support for NSVN.  

Your payment of $750 for an individual or $1,000 for a household includes the fee for full membership, and the balance ($200 for individuals, or $285 for households) is a tax-deductible donation to ensure the growth and sustainability of the organization.

Virtual Member

Individuals living outside of Chicago's North Shore area are eligible to join as Virtual Members and attend social, cultural, and educational events made available by Zoom.  Member dues in this category are not prorated.
